    Support Compassionate Care Behind the Scenes- and Gain Valuable Experience

    Do you have a heart for service and an interest in healthcare work? Join our compassionate team as an Administrative Hospice Volunteer and play a vital role in helping our organization run smoothly- while gaining meaningful hands-on experience in healthcare administration.

    What You'll Do:

    • Provides support to office personnel through clerical and administrative functions.
    • Assist with answering telephones.
    • Complete office tasks such as filing, making copies, and data entry.
    • Help with compiling and mailing letters and assembling packets.
    • Assist with general office tasks that help our clinical team focus on patient care.

    The Administrative Volunteer must possess strong communication skills, must be dependable, self-directed, and flexible and have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

    • Since we are working with an at-risk population, all volunteers will be required to undergo a drug screening, TB testing, fingerprinting, and background check. All testing is set up and paid for by Heartland Hospice.
