    Fall Training for Volunteer Naturalists (Field Trip Hike Leaders)

    Twice a year, the Howard County Conservancy offers free training to volunteers who are interested in learning how to lead field trip hikes at our Mt. Pleasant location, in Woodstock. The Fall 2025 training sessions will take place on the following dates in September. All classroom sessions begin with coffee and conversation, and the only requirements are a passion for nature, a desire to share your knowledge of the natural world with children, and daytime availability for field trips.

    Thursday, 9/11, 9:00-12:00 (Grades K-2)

    Thursday, 9/11, 1:00-2:30 (animal programming demo)

    Friday, 9/12, 9:00-12:00 (Grades 3-5)
