    Description

Teach English and Explore Northern Thailand’s Culture

Teach basic English conversation and communication skills at one of eight rural public schools in Phayao Province, northern Thailand. This teaching-abroad program is part of a non-profit initiative aimed at improving education and quality of life for underserved children and youth.

As a teacher, you’ll work alongside local educators to provide students with essential language skills that support their academic and personal growth. While teaching, you’ll immerse yourself in Thai culture—learning the language, exploring regional history, experiencing traditional cuisine, and living in a northern Thai village surrounded by nature.

Our community values cultural exchange, global awareness, and mutual respect. This program brings together dedicated individuals who aim to inspire, empower, and make a lasting impact through education.

Your participation directly supports long-term development and helps students build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

This is a great opportunity for you to learn about Thai culture and language, as you will be living in the heart of the countryside in a local village, far away from any tourist destinations. You will truly be welcomed and belong to a community that has been holding on to its customs and traditions for thousands of years. This will be a unique experience where you will learn, grow, and have a new perspective on life.

    Apply to volunteer with us

We welcome volunteers from all around the world to join us at our community center or at one of our rural schools. You can expect to teach about 20 hours per week. We ask our volunteers to stay with us for a minimum of 2 weeks, and can stay for as long as they would like. To volunteer with us, we kindly ask for a USD $14 per day donation for the length of your stay with us. This will help us cover some expenses for our programs. We really appreciate your support!

What do you get with this $14/day donation:

    • Accommodations: Depending on the program you join, you will have a private or shared bedroom either with fan or air-condition, and a private or shared bathroom with a hot shower
    • Wi-Fi
    • 3 meals per day
    • Drinking water and coffee/tea
    • Laundry
    • A bicycle
    • Our foundation shirt
    • An Official PEFF Certificate of Attendance!
