    Description

    Overview: We’re looking for compassionate, patient, and dependable volunteers to serve as Special Needs Buddies in our Children’s Ministry. In this role, you’ll provide one-on-one or small-group support to children with varying abilities, helping them engage in worship, teaching, and activities in a safe and meaningful way. No prior experience is required—just a heart to serve and a willingness to learn!

    Responsibilities:

    • Support and include children with special needs in age-appropriate classroom activities
    • Provide one-on-one attention and redirection as needed
    • Partner with classroom leaders and parents to create a supportive environment
    • Ensure each child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual safety
    • Follow all safety and child protection guidelines

    Ideal Volunteer:

    • Caring, calm, and flexible under pressure
    • Enjoys working with children of all abilities
    • Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
    • Willing to learn strategies for inclusive support
    • Can pass a background check (required)
    • Willing to attend occasional training
