    Description

Work behind the scenes as part of OBI's Blood Bag Crew!

If you prefer to work behind the scenes, OBI has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Volunteers are needed to help label empty blood bags for mobile blood drives. We have a lively group of ladies who meet once a week to complete the blood bag numbering project. Blood donations cannot happen without the bags; therefore, this is a critical volunteer role which allows OBI’s lifesaving mission to be successful.

Task: Label empty blood bags according to Donor Services' Standard Operating Procedure for use system-wide; properly record and document donor identification numbers on a numbering bag log.

Requirements: Ability to sit for a minimum of 4 hours in a comfortable setting, good vision and finger dexterity, professional appearance.

Benefits: Socialize with other OBI volunteers, feel good about giving your time to help facilitate a lifesaving mission, great resume builder, fulfill volunteer service hours.
