    Description

    Volunteer Committee Member Opportunity - finEQUITY

    finEQUITY is seeking passionate and dedicated board members to support our board in achieving key goals for the upcoming year. As a committee member, you’ll play an essential role in advancing our work supporting justice-impacted individuals in building financial health.This is a meaningful opportunity to engage with a nonprofit, leverage your governance experience, and shape initiatives that create lasting impact.

    Nominating & Development

    • Identifying and recruiting new committee members
    • Coordinating training and leadership development
    • Ensuring alignment with organizational needs

    Finance, Compliance, Infrastructure & Performance

    • Supporting treasurer in providing financial oversight and reviewing budgets
    • Supporting policy development and organizational evaluations
    • Supervising fraud prevention efforts with the board.

    Time Commitment/Term:

    • Attend quarterly committee meetings (approximately two hours per meeting)
    • One-year term with an option for renewal based on mutual agreement

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Prior board leadership experience

    Secretary Role Opportunity- finEQUITY is also seeking a Secretary to help keep committee operations organized.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Record and distribute meeting minutes
    • Maintain accurate documentation
    • Ensure organized record-keeping
