    Description

Volunteer for Collin Thompson for City Council District 5

Starting ASAP through June 24 Primary

Collin Thompson is running a grassroots campaign for New York City Council in District 5 (Upper East Side & Roosevelt Island) to bring common-sense leadership to City Hall. The election is a two-way race against an established incumbent, and Collin is running as a bold outsider who will confront New York City’s issues with a fresh perspective. As a lifelong educator and community advocate, he is seeking to radically increase teachers’ salaries and support public schools. Collin believes strongly in returning to the “solid six” of local politics, focusing on better schools, subways, safety, sanitation, shelter, and small businesses.

To win this race, we need energetic and passionate volunteers to help get Collin on the ballot and turn out voters. No prior campaign experience is needed—just a willingness to meet new people, engage with the community, and help bring real change to New York City.

    How You Can Get Involved

As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in the campaign’s grassroots operation. There’s no required commitment—sign up for events and shifts that fit your schedule!

    Volunteer opportunities include:

    • Petitioning: Help collect signatures from registered Democrats to get Collin on the ballot. This means talking to voters in high-traffic areas, explaining why Collin is running, and making sure our campaign qualifies for the election.
    • Voter Outreach: Knock on doors, make calls, and connect with voters one-on-one to share Collin’s vision for a better NYC.
    • GOTV (Get Out the Vote): As Election Day approaches, we’ll need all hands on deck to remind supporters to vote.
    • Event Support: Join us at campaign events, rallies, and community meetings to spread the word.
    • Social Media & Visibility: Help share campaign updates online, put up signs, and make sure voters know about Collin.
