Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate, committed, and skilled individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a volunteer board member, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring we fulfill our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Governance and Oversight:
- Participate in quarterly board meetings and special meetings as needed.
- Ensure the organization adheres to its mission, vision, and values.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with fellow board members and the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Provide guidance and expertise to support organizational growth and program development.
- Advocacy and Fundraising:
- Actively promote the organization’s mission within your network and community.
- Assist in fundraising efforts, including securing donations, sponsorships, and partnerships.
- Participate in events and campaigns to raise awareness and support for the organization.
- Committee Involvement:
- Serve on at least one board committee (e.g., fundraising, governance, programs).
- Contribute to specific projects or initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- A commitment to the mission and vision of Project Jeremiah 29:11.
- Prior experience in nonprofit work, fundraising, or governance is a plus but not required.
- Skills in one or more of the following areas: finance, law, marketing, public relations, fundraising, program development, or nonprofit leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to dedicate time and energy to attend meetings, events, and organizational initiatives.
- Must commit to 1 year of service
