    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Writing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research, excellent writing skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, drafting compelling grant proposals, and ensuring that all applications align with the organization’s mission and goals.

    • Conduct thorough research to identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private sources that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, ensuring they are clear, compelling, and adhere to the guidelines and priorities of funding agencies.
    • Work closely with program directors, finance teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information, develop budgets, and ensure project feasibility within proposals.
    • Maintain an organized database of grant proposals, deadlines, and funding status updates to ensure timely submissions and follow-up actions.
    • Track and report on grant application progress and outcomes. Ensure that all grant activities are compliant with applicable regulations and funding requirements.
    • Regularly review grant announcements and funding opportunities, and notify relevant staff of potential new funding sources.
    • Prepare interim and final reports for funders to detail how funds have been used and project outcomes as required.

    Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to write persuasive and informative grant proposals.
    • Proficiency in research methods to identify funding opportunities and gather data.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple grant applications and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of budgeting and financial principles relevant to grant applications.
    • Familiarity with online grant portals and grant management software is a plus.
