    Meals will be prepared by one cook for safety. Volunteers will cover food and pay the cook $8/day. An additional $90 USD is required to cover accommodation for the full program period.

    Description

    Environmental Educators

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement environmental education programs, workshops, and activities for diverse audiences.
    • Facilitate field trips, nature walks, and classroom visits to teach about local ecosystems, climate change, biodiversity, and sustainability.
    • Create educational materials such as lesson plans, brochures, and interactive exhibits.
    • Partner with schools, government agencies, and community organizations to promote environmental Conservation initiatives.
    • Organize and participate in community outreach events, environmental campaigns, and volunteer activities.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and provide reports or feedback to stakeholders.
    • Stay updated on environmental science and education trends to ensure accurate and relevant content.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree, Diploma or a certificate in Environmental Science, Geography, Education, Ecology, or a related field.
    • Experience in teaching, public speaking, or community engagement.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Passion for environmental conservation and education.
    • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and lead groups in natural settings.
    • Creative, self-motivated, and organized.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with curriculum development or environmental program planning.
    • Knowledge of local environmental issues, geography and ecosystems.
    • First aid/CPR certification (for field-based roles).
