    Description

    Friday night movie volunteers!

    Purpose:

    To allow residents the enjoyment of entertainment and socializing.

    Responsibilities:

    ·Prepare theater for showing of the movie by getting equipment ready for showing. Key to theater and pop fridge are in the drawer across from theater doors.

    ·Pop the popcorn and put in popcorn tubs in the green food server.Use one bag of puffed corn for those that can’t eat popcorn (about 7-8 tubs)

    ·Greet residents and hand out popcorn & drinks and assist them as needed.

    ·Assure that residents are seated safely.

    ·Turn off at start of movie and lights on at the end of movie.

    ·Assist residents to leave theater safely and insure no one remains in the theater

    ·Take movie out of BluRay player

    Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

    ·Must be 16 years of age unless accompanied by an adult

    ·Understanding of touch screen pad and basic video equipment or willingness to learn. Code is 2011

    ·Must be self-directed and enjoy the senior population

    ·Understanding and compassionate disposition

    Time Commitment/Hours:

    ·We need on-call volunteers to cover when a regular volunteer is unavailable and on pecific Friday evening (for example the 3rd Friday each month). Need to be available from 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.Could be earlier depending on length of movie.
