    Interested helping to protect our ocean? Passionate about providing education resources to inspire people? Give back to your community by volunteering for a fun, engaging Bay Area based non-profit by raising funds to help support an international film festival dedicated to sharing inspriing independent films to educate and engage audiencees to protect our oceans.

    The International Ocean Film Foundation is seeking Development Committee Member volunteers to secure corporate sponsorchips to assist in raising funds for the IOFF. Our Development Committee is a dedicated group of volunteers who believe in the power of visual storytelling and are eager to share our mission with their networks. We will provide you with a fundraising toolkit to help you reach out to individuals, executives and corporations as well as a suggested target list.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Reach out to target companies via email or phone and introduce the IOFF mission, it's education programs, and the 2026 IOFF Sponsorship Deck.
    • Track email correspondence on a regular basis, answering questions and following-up on inquiries.
    • Participate in Business Development Committee meetings as scheduled (via Zoom) and maintain contact with the chari of the committee.

    Experience:

    • Education: College graduate or above
    • Fun, outgoing personality with experience soliciting donations
    • Familiarity with non-profit fundraising is a plus
    • Access to email and excellent communication skills in English
    • Working knowledge of ocea related issues

    • Two all access VIP FIlm Festival Passes for the 23nd Annual IOFF which includes all films and special events, taking place in April 2026.

    ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL OCEAN FILM FOUNDATION

    Launched in 2004, the International Ocean Film Foundation (IOFF) is the premiere goal platform for ocean literacy and education through independent film. The IOFF is a year-round ocean conservation organization, with a flagship four-day film festival held annually in April and online The event features more than 50 independent films from around the world, visiting filmmakers, special guests, panel discussions and opportunities to engage with Ocean Hero Community Partners throughout the weekend. In addition, the IOFF hosts special screenings around the world throughout the year through our Traveling Program. The film festival also strives to engage the next generation of ocean conservationists by offering a Free Student Education Program for 1,200 Bay Area middle school and high schools students. At IOFF, we are united by a passion to protect our oceans, and we believe that the power of film is one of the best ways to bring people together and create change.
