Volunteer Recruiter

Powered By Love (PBL) is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Arizona with a bold vision to expand nationally. We show love in action by providing essential resources such as hygiene kits, water, clothing, food, and school supplies to unhoused and vulnerable communities. Since our founding, we’ve distributed over 44,000 items through our flagship 831 Initiative and six sub-campaigns.

We’re seeking a Volunteer Recruiter to help us build and strengthen our team by attracting passionate individuals to fill open volunteer positions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and helping match skills with meaningful opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and post volunteer opportunities on platforms such as Idealist, Taproot, and others
• Screen applicants and forward qualified candidates to the Founder/Project Leads
• Create a simple system to track applicants and placements
• Support onboarding by ensuring clear communication and role expectations
• Help foster a positive volunteer culture that reflects our values of dignity, equity, and love in action

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in recruiting, HR, or volunteer coordination is helpful but not required
• Organized and able to manage multiple postings/applicants
• Passion for community service and social justice
