Director of Operations

Location: Remote (with occasional in-person collaboration if local)

Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per week

Reports to: Executive Director / Founder

Dulce Vida Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs and cats. Through compassion, advocacy, and community partnerships, we provide life-saving care and work tirelessly to find loving homes for every animal we rescue.Position Overview

We’re seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Director of Operations (Volunteer) to help streamline internal workflows, support team communication, and improve operational systems so we can maximize our impact. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building processes, and wants to make a real difference behind the scenes of an animal rescue organization.Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve day-to-day operational systems (Google Drive, Forms, Sheets, etc.)
• Coordinate task management and timelines for active team projects
• Support internal communication across remote team members (Slack, email, calls)
• Help build sustainable workflows for volunteer and donor management
• Assist with implementing automation tools and processes
• Act as a key support to the Executive Director in executing strategic goals

What We’re Looking For

• Strong organizational, project management, or operations experience
• Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to self-manage and work independently
• A passion for animals and belief in rescue work
• Bonus: Familiarity with tools like JotForm, Slack, and Mailchimp
