Help out at a used book pop up sale at Howard University for the Annual International Black Writers

Carpe Librum will be popping up at Howard University with a fundraising book sale as a part of the Howard’s Annual International Black Writers Festival on September 30, 2025.

We will need volunteers to help us set-up the book sale (shelving books, etc.) and then box up the book at the end of this fundraising event. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and educational outcomes for DC public school students as all proceeds support Turning the Page. Turning the Page is an education non-profit that engages public school families for student success.

Can you lend a hand?

The set-up shift is on September 23rd from 9am-10am, helping to set up books on shelves and tables.

The pack-up shift is from 4pm-5pm, helping to pack up books into boxes.
