A nonprofit founded in 2023, Acting Globally seeks college students and others to work remotely
with grassroots groups worldwide that expand access to education, healthcare, and resilient
communities. Our partners in Africa and Asia work to build peace in war-torn nations, ensure
access to reproductive care for women, and promote healing for children who have been
exposed to trauma. Acting Globally never charges for the services we offer.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Mentoring: Guide young people from other countries who are applying to US colleges.
- Tutoring: Help students build English proficiency, digital literacy and other skills.
- Creating Content: Prepare material for our partners’ websites and social media.
- Adopting Technology: Assist groups in employing IT tools to support their operations.
- Conducting Research: Help our partners access funding to expand their reach.

Qualifications and Time Commitment
Acting Globally seeks people with a passion for impact. We encourage volunteers who bring:
- Comfort working with people from other countries and cultures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and meet deadlines.
- Skills that vary by project, including research, writing and fostering learning. (Prior
volunteer experience and multilingual abilities are a plus but not required.)
Most volunteers contribute 1 - 2 hours per week for about three months. Opportunities are
available for more intense involvement during summer months (5 - 10 hours per week).
