At Friends of Children in Gomba (FCG), we believe that football is more than just a game, it’s a powerful tool for unity, empowerment, development of talents and opportunity. In the heart of Gomba District, where access to sports facilities and opportunities is limited, we’re on a mission to change the game for rural school children. And we need YOU to join us!

Why Football in Rural Schools?

Football has the power to inspire, build confidence, and foster teamwork among young people. In rural areas like Gomba, many schools lack the resources to provide structured sports programs. This means that children miss out on the physical, mental, and social benefits of sports. FCG is stepping in to bridge this gap by:

• • Providing football equipment, including balls and jerseys.
  • Organizing training sessions and tournaments to nurture talent.
  • Promoting life skills like leadership, discipline, and resilience through sports.

Our goal is to create sustainable football programs in Gomba’s rural schools, giving every child a chance to shine on and off the pitch.

Our Impact So Far

Since launching our initiative, FCG has:

• • Supplied 10 rural schools in Gomba with football kits.
  • Trained 20 local teachers to coach and mentor young players.
  • Hosted inter-school tournaments that brought together over 500 students, sparking joy and community spirit.

But we’re just getting started, and the need is greater than ever.
