    Position Title: Country Consultant - Uganda

    Location: Uganda (remote with travel as required)

    Language requirement: Fluency in English, Luganda

    Contract Term: 12 months Fixed-term consultancy with renewal subject to performance and funding

    Contract Type: Part-time Contract

    Compensation and Benefits: $700 USD per month, paid leave days, sick leave days, and national holidays

    Women First Digital (WFD) is a nonprofit e-Health organization dedicated to transforming sexual and reproductive healthcare through accessible, people-centered digital solutions. Operating since 2015, WFD empowers individuals, particularly women and young people, to take control of their reproductive health by providing confidential, multilingual, and culturally sensitive information and support.

    Women First Digital (WFD), a program of DKT International, is seeking a results-driven Country Consultant - Uganda to lead and execute strategic country-level initiatives that expand access to safe, accurate, and stigma-free sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information.

    The consultant will serve as the primary focal point for WFD in Uganda, responsible for delivering measurable impact through strategic partnerships, targeted outreach and innovative eLearning engagement with both digital and offline communities.

    Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

    The consultant will be responsible for delivering on the following core areas:

    • Provider Certification & Training Outcomes
      • Facilitate and document the certification of 1,000 providers attending WFD eLearning courses.
    • Referral Network Support and Strengthening
      • Update WFD’s referral network by meeting with all providers currently in the referral database to confirm suitability, gather feedback and reinforce referral links. If required, add new providers especially in underserved areas.
      • Identify and add 1 legal support organisation and 1 emotional support organisation to the referral database.
    • Partnerships for Promotion
      • Secure collaborations with 5 national NGOs/youth organisations to promote WFD platforms.
      • Identify and contract 6 local digital personalities to amplify WFD campaigns, delivering engagement results.
      • Collaborate with DKT Uganda to participate at 4 DKT Uganda events for cross-promotion opportunities
      • Update and maintain Uganda-specific content on WFD counselling, websites, and AI tools to ensure cultural relevance.
      • Co-design and support the dissemination of targeted SRH promotional materials (online and offline) to drive platform usage.
    • Project management, reporting and budget management
      • Write and follow an annual workplan
      • Write monthly internal reports to WFD on planned activities
      • Write the 6 monthly and annual reports
      • Manage the budget (with support from WFD Finance Team) and justify spend, including identifying providers, contracting and invoicing.

    Required Qualifications

    • At least 2-3 years proven experience in SRH program delivery, advocacy, or communications within Uganda.
    • Experience with partner/stakeholder management and engagement, including partner identification, outreach, and cultivation. Preferably in the sexual and reproductive health space.
    • Established network within Uganda’s NGO, health and digital influencer ecosystems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and deliver against targets.
    • Familiarity with Uganda’s digital and youth culture.
    • Must have a laptop and personal phone with strong and stable internet connection.
