Collaborative action remains essential in our fight against climate change. When people come together to address the impact we have on the planet through a multifaceted approach that considers ecological conservation, social justice, and economic feasibility—we can work toward a brighter, more sustainable future.

In honor of Earth Day, which took place on April 22, we’re featuring open roles at environmental organizations whose missions are to rally behind local initiatives and reform important policies that can protect our planet. Read on to find a potential job opportunity that allows you to champion sustainability while advancing your career.

1. California Environmental Justice Alliance, Remote Role

The California Environmental Justice Alliance (CEJA) is a statewide coalition of grassroots, community-based organizations. They organize among those most impacted by environmental and climate injustice—low-income communities and communities of color—to advance statewide policy that protects the environment and our health. They are hiring an Energy Justice Manager to work remotely in California.

2. Appalachian Voices, Charlottesville, VA

Appalachian Voices is a nonprofit advocacy organization that brings people together to protect the land, air, and water of Central and Southern Appalachia and advance a just transition to a clean energy economy. They are hiring a Grants Writer & Coordinator to work in a hybrid capacity in Charlottesville, VA.

3. Biodegradable Products Institute, Remote Role

A science-driven nonprofit that supports a shift to the circular economy by promoting the production, use, and appropriate end-of-life for materials and products that are designed to fully biodegrade in biologically active environments. They are hiring a Policy Associate to work remotely.

4. The Nature Conservancy, Seattle, WA

The mission of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is to conserve the lands and waters upon which all life depends. They are hiring a Donor Relations Directory to work on-site in Tucson, AZ.

7. Global Forest Generation, Remote Role
