The Presidio Trust is seeking a Fleet and Excess Personal Property Specialist supporting the Procurement Department. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Fleet and Excess Personal Property Specialist manages government fleet vehicles and excess federal property, including goods, materials, and equipment. The role ensures vehicle efficiency, utilization, and lifecycle management while enforcing fleet policies and supporting acquisition, maintenance, and data analysis. The Specialist also trains staff on proper vehicle use. In managing excess property, the role develops disposition plans, identifies surplus assets, and oversees their compliant transfer, auction, or disposal. Duties include maintaining accurate records and preparing asset management reports.
This is a full-time onsite position with benefits and a starting at $95,732, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is included in a bargaining unit, specifically the Laborer’s International Union of North America, Local 792, United Public Employees of California. Work Environment:
The work environment is diverse, spanning from an office setting for planning and coordination tasks to active fieldwork in warehouses, disposal sites, and storage areas for asset inspection and management. Fieldwork involves using MHE, battery jump starter, battery tester and adhering to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment as necessary. The specialist may be exposed to various weather conditions and environments requiring flexibility and strict adherence to safety standards.
Background Check
This position is subject to an employment background check which shall consist of a review of applicable county, state and Federal criminal and civil records, state bankruptcy indexes, driver’s license, education, and employment history. An individual’s granting of a background check and resulting report is voluntary. However, employment is contingent upon the successful completion of an employment background check.
