    We are currently in search of a Finance and Operations Manager for an international urban planning and design nonprofit that is dedicated to reimagining streets as places for people and shaping cities that are safe, healthy, accessible, and equitable for all. This is a part-time, temporary position with an anticipated hourly rate between $35-$45/hr commensurate on experience. This role is expected to begin ASAP through March 2026.

    LOCATION: Remote

    POSITION TITLE: Finance and Operations Manager

    SCHEDULE: Part-time, 15-25 hours per week, with flexibility in hours and days

    DURATION: Temporary, through March 2026

    HOURLY RATE: $35-$45/hour

    Is This Your Dream Job? The Finance and Operations Manager will oversee complex budgets and support organizational operations. This role involves managing multi-million-dollar operating and grant budgets, working with remote, distributed teams, and collaborating with program managers, team leads, and executive leadership while overseeing all accounting and financial operations.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    • 5+ years of experience in finance and operations
    • Strong background in grant management
    • Knowledgeable in expense allocation for grants
    • Proven experience in budget development and management
    • Knowledge of grants with Bloomberg philanthropy is a plus, but not required

    How You Will Spend Your Day:

    • Manage funder financial reports, proposal budgets, and budget updates, providing actionable recommendations.
    • Review ledgers, contracts, subgrant agreements, and invoices, working closely with fiscal partners to resolve issues.
    • Support the annual operating budget process, including tracking actuals and payroll allocations.
    • Oversee and guide a small team, while handling ad hoc financial and operational projects.
