    Description

    The Choice is seeking a contract Program Production Assistant for our client, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that empowers bright talent and new generations to join the federal workforce. This position will support the facilitation of an upcoming virtual leadership development program for federal employees.

    The program will take place over 5 weeks. The virtual classes will be on Mondays and Fridays, and then Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays will be shorter planning and administrative days during the week. The production assistant will virtually attend each scheduled class to help moderate, take notes, facilitate technology, and help answer questions. Candidates must be fully available for the following weeks:

    • August 18-22
    • August 25-29
    • Sept 8-12
    • September 22-26
    • Sept 29-Oct 3

    The work schedule for each of these weeks will be Mondays/Fridays 8:30AM-4:30PM, and Tues/Wed/Thurs 1PM-4:30PM. Each work week is estimated to be about 25 total hours.

    This is a fully remote position, however candidates need to be based in DMV area. This could be an opportunity for a grad student with a flexible school schedule.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Virtually produce sessions for facilitators and assist with student polls, advancing slides, student technology and programmatic questions, and management communication.
    • Communicate with students and teachers in advance of classes and to send out appropriate links and resources.
    • Serve as a positive, energetic, knowledgeable representative of the organization and programs when communicating with federal employees, interacting with external audiences and while providing support to external facilitators during sessions.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customized programs; ensure seamless delivery while providing exceptional customer service to government participants.
    • Build and maintain productive working relationships with external stakeholders, including part-time facilitators and federal employee students.
    • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in responding to customer needs.
    • Provide administrative support for external communications and/or information management within our customer relationship database (Salesforce).
    • Complete week end reports to communicate student and facilitator needs and to prepare for upcoming sessions.
    • As other program needs arise throughout programming, the virtual producer may be asked to assist.

    Qualifications:

    • One to two years of experience, which may include internships. Previous Hill or government experience could be a plus.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint, required.
    • Must be experienced in Zoom, including recent updates to the program
    • Able to learn new software applications related to online learning and collaboration like Moodle, Menti, etc
    • High level of professionalism, detail-oriented, and excellent forward-facing customer service skills
