    About Integrity Matters

Integrity Matters is a coalition of small business owners standing up for the rules that make free enterprise possible. When tariffs spike overnight, contracts are illegally canceled, or immigration enforcement destabilizes workforces, it’s small businesses that pay the price. Instead of chasing each crisis, we focus on the root cause: protecting the rule of law — the foundation for economic stability and growth.

We’re nonpartisan, principled, and practical — and we also believe organizing for democracy should be serious and joyful. That means tackling hard truths with clarity while making space for humor, creativity, and collective care.

    Position Overview

We’re looking for a Communications Intern who will help shape how Integrity Matters shows up online and connects virtually. You’ll support our digital strategy, create engaging content, and help bring small business voices into national conversations. This is a chance to work on a campaign that’s part civic education, part storytelling, and part community building.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead and support digital strategy: collaborate on content calendars, brainstorm creative campaigns, and test new approaches for reaching SBOs.
    • Create content with personality: draft posts, design graphics (Canva or similar tools), make reels/short videos, and share stories that balance seriousness with joy and humor.
    • Amplify small business voices: highlight the experiences of SBOs impacted by broken rules — and turn those stories into compelling, shareable content.
    • Support events: help plan and promote online events (workshops, webinars, roundtables) that center resilience, organizing, and connection.
    • Bring your perspective: contribute ideas for tone, campaigns, and tactics. We want your creativity to shape how this campaign looks and feels.
    • Lift up lessons from movements: research and share insights from democracy movements, global organizing, and cross-partisan efforts that can inspire our work.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong writing and communication skills (especially for digital platforms).
    • Passion for social media, with experience managing accounts and building audiences.
    • A creative, collaborative approach to storytelling — bringing ideas, not just execution.
    • Interest in activism, movement building, or community resilience.
    • Comfort with remote work and tools like Canva, Zoom, Google Workspace, and major social platforms.
    • A love of reading, learning, and experimenting.
    • Bonus: experience organizing events, creating media, or working with advocacy campaigns.

    What You’ll Gain

    • A paid internship (stipend provided) with flexible scheduling (15–20 hrs/week).
    • Experience in communications, digital organizing, and advocacy.
    • A chance to build a real portfolio of civic storytelling that blends creativity and purpose.
    • Experience working at the intersection of small business, democracy, and rule of law.
    • A supportive environment that values experimentation, humor, and heart.

    How to Apply

Send a short cover letter, resume, and 1–2 examples of social media content you’ve created (class projects, personal accounts, or campaign work all welcome) to info@ms4d.org with the subject line: Social Media Intern Application – [Your Name].
