    About RxART:

    RxART is a New York City–based nonprofit organization that transforms pediatric healthcare facilities through site-specific installations by leading contemporary artists. Our mission is to create uplifting, engaging environments that improve the patient experience in hospitals nationwide.

    Position Overview: RxART is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administration and Operations Intern for Fall/Winter 2025. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit arts administration, fundraising, marketing, and design. Interns are an integral part of our

    small, collaborative team and will assist with a range of responsibilities that support both daily operations and long-term projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Administrative & Operations Support

    • Assist with day-to-day office functions including processing mail, organizing the RxART collection, maintaining the internal server, and scanning archival materials
    • Support planning and execution of in-person and virtual events
    • Help with research and outreach for fundraising initiatives
    • Assist with ongoing archival projects

    Design & Communications

    • Contribute to the design and production of in-house marketing materials
    • Assist with updates and maintenance of RxART’s website (Wix platform)
    • Support social media efforts including content creation and calendar management
    • Help with MailChimp campaigns: newsletter drafting, contact management, and list segmentation

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign required)
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
    • Strong organizational, writing, and research skills
    • Interest in and knowledge of contemporary art
    • Proactive, team-oriented, and adaptable work style
    • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
