    🌍 Cultural Heritage & Art Internship

    We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as an intern with one of our renowned partners in Agrigento, Sicily. This internship is ideal for students or graduates passionate about history, tourism, education, cultural heritage, or contemporary art. You’ll gain hands-on experience across museums, archeological sites, art installations, and gardens while immersed in the beauty and culture of Sicily.

    🌍 Main Tasks (based on placement and season):

    Management of Incoming Flows on Site:

    • Monitoring traffic at entry points.
    • Coordinating with ticketing staff.
    • Assisting in visitor crowd management.

    Tourist Guidance and Support:

    • Guiding tourists through different areas and providing historical and cultural context.
    • Responding to tourist inquiries and offering assistance.
    • Ensuring visitors comply with site regulations.

    Front Office Management and Paperwork:

    • Processing ticket sales.
    • Assisting with administrative tasks and documentation.

    Museum & Garden Support (Kolymbethra):

    • Welcoming visitors and offering general orientation.
    • Accompanying specialists managing museum assets.
    • Assisting with school visits, field trips, and children’s workshops.
    • Supporting citrus grove care in winter and summer events like concerts, astronomy nights, and tastings.
    • Helping to prepare and distribute promotional or educational materials.

    Art Installation & Event Coordination:

    • Assisting with the setup and maintenance of art installations.
    • Guiding visitors through site-specific exhibitions and explaining artistic context.
    • Supporting artists and curators during preparation and events.
    • Assisting with documentation, promotion, and community engagement activities.

    🕐 Interns collaborate with staff who work 7 days a week. Each intern works a maximum of 5 days per week, which may include some evenings and weekends depending on your assigned site.

    🏗 What We Offer:

    ❗️ Requirements:

    • You must be eligible for the Erasmus+ program.
    • You must be able to commit to 4 months on-site in Agrigento, Sicily.
    • You must have at least a B1 level in English or Italian.
    • Interest or background in history, education, tourism, arts, or design is a plus.
