    Position: Marketing/Program Coordinator Intern

    Schedule: 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday, some evenings as needed)

    Location: In-Person (computer provided, some days could be hybrid)

    Compensation: Paid Internship with potential to transition into part-time paid staff, based on funding

    Position Overview

    This internship is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience in nonprofit program coordination and digital marketing. As a Marketing & Program Coordinator Intern, you’ll play a key role in supporting our mentoring program, growing community engagement, and helping spread awareness of our mission. You’ll gain valuable training in event planning, communications, marketing, and nonprofit operations—with ongoing opportunities for professional development.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Assist in planning and facilitating mentor/mentee orientations, trainings, and program activities.
      • Provide ongoing support to mentors and mentees to ensure a rewarding experience.
      • Help evaluate and improve program processes, materials, and outreach strategies.
      • Develop and schedule engaging content for social media, newsletters, blogs, and email campaigns.
      • Support website updates and manage online presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
      • Assist in planning and promoting community events, workshops, and outreach initiatives.
      • Conduct research, track data, and prepare reports to measure program and marketing effectiveness.
      • Shadow the Executive Director and gain exposure to nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and partnership building.

    Desired Qualifications

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Hootsuite).
      • Basic knowledge of marketing, event planning, or community engagement (preferred, not required).
      • Comfort with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
      • Self-starter mindset with a passion for YMM’s mission.
