Side Street Projects, an Altadena-based non-profit, seeks a part-time Bookkeeper.
This role has the potential to be a contractor or a staff member depending on the applicant.
We are a mobile artist run organization based in Altadena and Pasadena. Our mission is to give artists of all ages the ability and means to support their creative endeavors. We are devoted to community-centered artists through community-led programming that promotes creativity, well-being, and the potential for collective growth
All of our programs connect professional artists directly with communities to facilitate creative problem-solving within a contemporary arts context. We teach children design and fabrication through a mobile tool-based program, “The Woodworking Bus”. We present community-based Artist Projects at our temporary headquarters, and off-site in collaboration with local businesses and government agencies. These projects are integrated into the free community programming offered most Saturdays.
Bookkeeper will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Operations Manager. ED and OM will code most standard transactions but will need support with monthly reconciliation payroll reconciliation and transactions that require journal entries.
