    Description

IAYT is seeking an experienced operations and finance administrator (OFA) to support the organization’s mission of advancing yoga therapy as a recognized health profession.

This key team member is responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial management of IAYT’s systems, processes, and administration, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. The OFA works closely with the executive director and leadership team and will be joining a small, highly collaborative group of strategic-thinking doers who make the most of available resources.

IAYT is a remote-first organization with a geographically dispersed team; due to operational needs, candidates in Arkansas, Florida, or Maryland are preferred

    Key Responsibilities

IAYT’s OFA works with an outside accountant to prepare monthly financial statements, develops the annual budget for approval from the board of directors, and drafts quarterly finance reports. This individual also tracks operating expenses and income to ensure organizational financial health; supports the planning and implementation of conferences and events; manages payroll, benefits, and publication mailings; and maintains IAYT’s storage unit and PO box. This role also provides ongoing support for the organization’s members and vendors and serves as one point of contact for the public.

The OFA is also an essential interface with IAYT’s 5,000+ members, 3,800 certified yoga therapists (C-IAYTs), 70 accredited programs, and 130 member schools.

In the world envisioned by IAYT, yoga is routinely considered in a range of settings as a therapeutic option for physical health, emotional well-being, mental balance, and spiritual consciousness. If this vision excites you, too, we hope you’ll consider joining our dedicated team!
