Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action is hiring a Director of Campaigns & Organizing to lead Dayenu’s campaigns and organizing work, manage our dynamic campaigns and talented organizing team, and help build a spiritually-rooted Jewish climate movement.

The Director of Campaigns & Organizing will be responsible for designing and overseeing strategic campaigns at the national, state, and local levels, leading Dayenu’s team of campaigners and organizers, and building a multi-generational, multi-racial, spiritually rooted Jewish climate movement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior team of a progressive, young organization that is mobilizing the American Jewish community to confront the climate crisis with spiritual audacity and bold political action. Through a growing network of Dayenu Circles across the country and partnerships with Jewish communal institutions and multifaith and secular climate organizations, we’re mobilizing, training, and taking collective action to advance systemic solutions to the climate crisis, at the scale that science and justice demand.

    Location: Flexible

    Position Type: Full time

    Applications Due: November 24, 2025

Anticipated Start Date: January 5, 2026

    Responsibilities:

    Campaigns and Organizing (35%)

    • Lead design and implementation of Dayenu’s campaigns, including assessing the external landscape for opportunity for strategic impact and designing innovative and creative campaigns.
    • Oversee the growth of Dayenu’s base, develop Dayenu Circles across the country, and evolve and grow Dayenu’s organizing model and leadership development.
    • Lead and contribute to direct organizing and relationship-building with new and longtime Jewish climate leaders, including growing our Young People organizing and Jews of Color Caucus.
    • Build and steward relationships with existing Jewish, multi-faith, and secular organizations and movements, including in the climate justice and broader progressive movements.
    • Manage and contribute to the development of volunteer leaders through regular trainings, coaching, regional gatherings, workshops, and community building.

    Team Leadership (35%)

    • Lead and support Dayenu’s Campaigns & Organizing Team to advance Dayenu’s mission, achieve individual and team goals, prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in our campaigns and organizing work, and support the professional growth of every team member.
    • Maintain and build strong team systems and culture.
    • Lead annual goal setting, manage departmental budget, and oversee work planning to promote smooth and effective team operations and accountability.
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff as needed.

      Strategy and Organizational Leadership (30%)

Seek out opportunities where Dayenu brings strategic added value to the larger climate movement and prioritize campaigns that address the disproportionate impacts of the climate crisis on Black & Brown communities, Indigenous communities, and other groups at the frontline of the climate crisis.
      • Evolve Dayenu’s organizing strategy to grow our base, including experimenting and iterating new organizing tactics, further developing digital organizing tools, and empowering volunteer leaders.
      • Contribute to overall organizational strategy, decision-making, prioritization, and learning.
      • Collaborate across teams to support Dayenu’s partnerships, communication, and spiritual resourcing work.
      • Promote a culture of integrity, equity, excellence, and effective collaboration.

      Qualifications:

      • At least 10 years success in field organizing and in designing and running advocacy campaigns
