    Description

    The Director of Stewardship & Engagement plays an integral role in helping the organization achieve its fundraising goals as well as fostering and promoting opportunities for engagement. The position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all engagement and stewardship efforts. The position will actively work to ensure that communication with all constituents is consistent and aligned with fundraising priorities. Additionally, this role will manage all aspects of stewardship and donor recognition plans to encourage giving and retention.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Director of Stewardship & Engagement:

    Donor Engagement

    • Development of a comprehensive calendarized membership plan that addresses all membership campaigns, needs, and touchpoints.
    • Collaborate with the following teams: Family Ministries, Formation, Pastoral Care, and Operations.
    • Prioritizing membership retention ensures a strong base of support.
    • Creation of targeted member events, programs, and opportunities to foster engagement, investment, and renewal.
    • Consistent stewardship communication and outreach to foster a keen sense of belonging and deeper levels of engagement.
    • Actively works to cultivate new memberships (and donors) while expanding and deepening existing relationships.
    • Implement workshops on spiritual gifts and giving
    • Lead and supervise the Engagement team (ushers, greeters, etc.)

    Donor Stewardship

    • Develop fundraising strategies and lead and manage fundraising activities.
    • Plan, execute, and manage individual giving fundraising activities built around strategic goals, in collaboration with the Stewardship Committee
    • Support the development and execution of innovative special projects and experiments to explore new models and tactics for generating revenue.
    • Oversee the management of fundraising activities, including stewardship drives, direct mail appeals, digital fundraising, email campaigns, recognition of donors, and more.
    • Manage additional fundraising strategies such as the Legacy Society and Capital Campaigns

    Qualifications:

    • Three years of experience in a similar, progressive, and responsible position
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management
    • Competency in computer skills
    • Experience in budgeting and financial management.
