    Description

    About

Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world. We believe that service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. By 2030, Repair will catalyze one million acts of service towards repairing the world.

In 2009, Repair the World began elevating meaningful service as a defining element of Jewish life by engaging Jewish young adults in service and learning to meet pressing local needs. Today, Repair leads the Jewish service movement, connecting Jews and their neighbors to volunteer opportunities that always include meaningful Jewish learning. Repair hosts volunteer opportunities in cities across the country, and partners with major Jewish organizations—like Hillels, JCCs, and Federations—to bring Jewish service to people all over the world.

    Repair’s Field Activation Work

In 2020, Repair created the Jewish Service Alliance (“JSA”), a coalition of 50+ Jewish organizations dedicated to expanding service opportunities and mobilizing tens of thousands annually in impactful Jewish service—strengthening the Jewish service movement to empower flourishing communities in pursuit of a just world. Through our Field Activation work, Repair scales Jewish service learning by building strategic partnerships, developing and sharing educational resources, and supporting JSA partners worldwide to implement meaningful service programming. These initiatives include training cohorts, partner convenings, and specialized programs such as Hillel International’s Service Engagement Internship, JCC Association’s Tzedek Initiative for Jewish Service-Learning, Service in Israel experiences, and many more—all unified by a commitment to high-quality Jewish service learning and seamless implementation.

Powered by Repair is a partnership model that places a Repair the World staff member within a local Jewish organization to run service and learning programs. The staff member is trained and supported by Repair, but operates through the partner organization to engage the local community.

    Position Overview

Repair the World is seeking a detail-oriented Manager, Field Activation, who will be instrumental in building and expanding our "Powered By" initiative, coordinating educational content across field activation programs, and providing essential operational support to the JSA (Jewish Service Alliance). The Manager will provide essential coordination and support for Jewish service learning content development and program implementation across our field activation portfolio.

The successful candidate will serve as a critical bridge between educational content creation and practical program execution, ensuring that learning materials are effectively organized, distributed, and implemented at scale across diverse partnership contexts. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the infrastructure that enables the Jewish Service Movement to scale and thrive worldwide.

This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Senior Director, National Expansion Strategy, and will work collaboratively with partners, internal teams, and JSA member organizations. The role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a passion for building systems that enable meaningful Jewish service and learning.
