Pay Rate: $23.10/hour

Location: Youth Pride, Inc. Center, Providence, RI

Schedule: Weekday afternoons and evenings (Some weekends for special events)

Start Date Range: Late August to early September 2025

About the Position

YPI is excited to add another Coordinator position to our staff! This is a part-time, non-exempt position at 25 hours per week. Hours will generally occur between 1 and 8 pm on weekdays. A regular schedule is to be set with the Executive Director. This position will be paid at a $20-23/hour rate. Some weekends are required for special events.

We are looking for a person who can bring a high level of energy and creativity to duties that include:

• Acting as one of the primary staff members involved in coordinating and running the drop-in center, socializing with youth, and creating a safe, inclusive, and celebratory culture within the space
• Leading maintenance of our Library, Kitchen, Basic Needs Pantry, and Clothes Closet, following opening and closing center protocols
• Monitoring in-kind donations and shipments to the center
• Facilitating or co-facilitating groups, programs, and events in a virtual setting and/or in the center
• Collecting attendance/demographic data
• Outreach, recruitment, and retention of volunteers and attendees
• Short-term project management and social media curation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must speak and write Spanish fluently.
• Experience working with a diverse population of youth, ages 5 to 24, is preferred, as is lived experience and LGBTQQIA+ youth experience.
• Knowledge of LGBTQQIA+ issues, intersectionality, identity, community building, and other topics through an anti-racist, feminist, social justice lens.
• Strong organizational skills, including task and time management
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are essential
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing and fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Successful candidates must pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Youth Development, Education, or related field a plus
