Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Associate, who will manage content creation for Religions for Peace social media and newsletters, website maintenance and management, and other digital communications needs. This is an entry-level position ideal for a recent communications or journalism graduate with some social media or website experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Content Management:
Create social media content and campaigns across Religions for Peace’s platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn; monitor social media analytics for trends and strategy alignment
Website Management:
Oversee the organisation's website, ensuring it reflects our evolving work. Collaborate with departments to keep content current and relevant.
Newsletter Creation:
Create and manage monthly newsletters that effectively amplify Religions for Peace’s storytelling and impact, which will include monitoring and reporting on activities from across the movement.
Internal Communications:
Design and produce internal communication materials (e.g., presentations, brochures, flyers) that align with our organisational culture and values.
Storytelling and Impact Communication:
Work closely with the Programmes team to collect stories, testimonials, and data that showcase our impact and success.
Vendor Coordination:
Manage relationships with external vendors, maintaining a roster of designers, printers, and other suppliers for departmental needs.
Additional Support:
Contribute to additional projects, tasks, and campaigns as needed to support organisational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Public Relations, International Relations or a related field.
0-2 years of experience creating and analyzing digital communications, internship experience included.
Creative and strategic thinker with a track record of generating innovative ideas and taking initiative.
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into engaging content.
Proficiency in visual communication tools and design software (e.g., Canva).
Strong understanding of digital communications and social media platforms, including content creation and analytics.
Experience managing and updating website content using WordPress preferred.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective communication systems and tools.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural and international environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships.
Ability to multitask to ensure timely and efficient delivery in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines within a small team.
Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000 commensurate with experience.
