    Anthos|Home is an innovative nonprofit transforming the way New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and secure stable housing. Modeled after Brilliant Corners in California, Anthos|Home streamlines the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes while addressing gaps in the NYC voucher housing system. We aim to be a game-changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness.

    The Role

    Anthos|Home is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Aftercare to lead a team of supervisors and specialists working directly with individuals and families who have recently entered permanent housing. The role reports to the Vice President of Aftercare and is pivotal in ensuring high-quality, coordinated service delivery across all Aftercare programming. The Director of Aftercare provides leadership and operational oversight to a diverse team, including:

    • Aftercare Supervisors
    • Aftercare Operations Supervisor and Specialist
    • Aftercare Specialists across multiple program areas
    • Aftercare Associates (Housing Stability and Opportunity Navigator)
    • MSW Interns

    This role ensures cohesion across all Aftercare functions, promotes best practices, facilitates partnerships, and ensures that staff and clients are supported during their transition to stable housing.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Provide direct supervision to:
      • Aftercare Supervisors
      • Aftercare Associates (e.g., Housing Retention and Opportunity Navigator)
      • Aftercare Operations Supervisor
    • Oversee the full Aftercare structure, including Specialists and Interns, to ensure coordinated workflows and service delivery.
    • Develop and maintain participant-facing resource guides and tools to support service navigation and housing stability.
    • Serve as the primary point person for escalated participant issues, including crises, complex service needs, and safety-related incidents.
    • Establish and maintain strong referral partnerships with external service providers across mental health, substance use, legal, benefits access, and other critical support systems.
    • Support the Vice President of Aftercare in engaging with child welfare agencies (e.g., ACS), shelters, healthcare providers, and community partners.
    • Participate in partner meetings with agencies making referrals (e.g., ACS, DHS).
    • Represent Aftercare in leadership forums and Anthos|Home organizational meetings.
    • Run weekly department meetings to align priorities, identify issues, and drive accountability.
    • Lead or support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training for all Aftercare roles.
    • Review and analyze Salesforce and other programmatic data for trends, performance monitoring, and program improvement.
    • Ensure timely and accurate data entry by all staff under supervision.
    • Monitor and refine service delivery practices, ensuring they align with Anthos|Home’s mission and program model.
    • Participate in case conferences to address complex participant needs post-move-in.
    • Serve on the Incident Review Committee and fulfill on-call emergency rotation duties.
    • Other tasks and projects as assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or senior management experience in housing or human services.
    • Holds an LMSW (required), with an LMCW and SIFI certification preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Familiarity with NYC housing market, voucher systems, and public benefits.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint is a plus.
    • Passion for the mission of Anthos|Home and ability to work in a diverse environment.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Competitive starting salary: $110,000-$120,000.
    • Hybrid work environment (2 days in the office per week).
