    Description

    About Abundant Housing MA

    Abundant Housing Massachusetts, Inc. (AHMA) is a 501(c)(4) organization formed in 2020. AHMA believes that Massachusetts is for everyone. Our mission is to stand up for abundant housing for all in communities across Massachusetts. We drive policy at the state and local level by identifying pro-housing changemakers, building the power of local organizers, and connecting a statewide network.

    AHMA’s vision for Massachusetts is to create, sustain, and enhance:

    • Abundant housing for all;
    • A housing market that lets people move when they want, where they want, not when they have to;
    • Communities with racially and economically diverse residents;
    • Development patterns that facilitate low/no-carbon lifestyles; and,
    • Education on effective organizing tools to overcome our history of racial segregation.

    About AHMA IEPAC

    AHMA is establishing the Abundant Housing Massachusetts Independent Expenditure Political Action Committee (AHMA IEPAC), which will support AHMA’s mission by working to elect pro-housing candidates running for local elected office across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

    Job Description

    With oversight from the Committee Chair and in collaboration with the Committee Vice Chair and Treasurer, the PAC Operations Manager will carry out operational and administrative aspects involved in the day-to-day function of the AHMA IEPAC. In doing so, the PAC Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the AHMA IEPAC and is essential to its success.

    Key tasks include, but are not limited to:

    Operational and Overall IEPAC Support

    • Work with Committee Chair to build up AHMA IEPAC internal infrastructure and processes for the organization’s long-term sustainability
    • Help maintain and manage Airtable, shared Google Drive folders, and other systems to keep IEPAC operations running smoothly
    • Manage vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and conduct reconciliation of authorized charges and performance of services
    • Support Committee Treasurer in filing contribution and expenditure campaign finance reports with OCPF

    Fundraising & Campaign Support

    • Assist Committee Chair/Vice Chair with day-to-day operations and administrative support for targeted races
    • Oversee officer call time (in person or via Zoom) for priority races, and help manage call sheets, follow-up, and donor tracking
    • Support rolodexing efforts and maintain accurate, organized donor databases
    • Track and maintain up-to-date internal records on targeted race status
    • Draft internal memos, guides, and IEPAC updates

    Research, Targeting, and Programming

    • Support in identifying key races that the IEPAC should invest in
    • Collect, organize and utilize voter data to aid in strategic decision making and program targeting
    • Work with vendors to utilize data and research to execute comprehensive digital and mail programs

    Required Qualifications:

    • At least one cycle of staffcampaign experience, or equivalent experience in a political, advocacy, or organizing setting
    • Basic understanding of campaign fundraising processes, voter data, and/or political operations, with a strong desire to grow and learn
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets); experience with NGP, ActBlue, or Airtable a plus
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Massachusetts residency, or the ability to relocate to the Greater Boston area through the end of 2025

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Ability to learn and apply organizational standard operating procedures
    • Ability to work effectively within a flexible and adapting work environment
    • Ability to develop and maintain systems for record-keeping and reporting
    • Ability to manage multiple vendors/consultants working on tight timelines
    • Spanish fluency

    As no single applicant is likely to have all of the desired qualifications, we strongly encourage applicants with relevant experience or transferable skills in some or most of these areas—and a willingness to expand their skill set—to apply.

    Salary and Benefits

    This is a contract position at a monthly rate of $5,000 - $6,000, based on experience. The contract will terminate at the end of November 2025. This role has the potential to expand into a full-time, salaried position in the future, depending on performance and IEPAC strategic direction. AHMA IEPAC is a remote work environment, with occasional required in-person events and other tasks.
