    Description

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Development Associate to join our fast-growing organization, and provide essential administrative and operational support to our development team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Development Associate will manage development files, project manage proposals and reports, draft donor communications, and ensure smooth execution of stewardship efforts. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with strong organizational and communication skills who is eager to build experience in nonprofit development while contributing to our mission of helping communities adapt and thrive in the face of flooding.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative support to the development team, including maintaining donor records, tracking fundraising activities, and coordinating donor meetings..
    • Support preparation of donor correspondence, proposals, and reports, including drafting, editing, and formatting documents, as well as project management and coordination with program teams.
    • Conduct background research on prospective donors and funding opportunities.
    • Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to identify compelling impact stories for a donor audience.
    • Advise and support the Associate Director of Development on donor cultivation, networking, and communication.
    • Support the Associate Director of Development in implementing a multi-year development strategy.
