Job Summary
CIR is looking for a Deputy Regional Director for CIR’s Great Lakes Region, located in the Minneapolis/St. Paula area. This position reports to the Great Lakes Regional Director, who oversees CIR chapters in the Chicago, Illinois and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota areas.
The Deputy Regional Director will help organizers with contract campaigns and contract enforcement. You will oversee contract implementation and enforcement that centers on shifting power dynamics at the worksite. You will provide guidance on local direct action campaigns that are focused on building towards the next round of contract negotiations. You will consult and collaborate with various departments such as the strategic campaigns, legal, public affairs and communications teams. You will supervise worksite organizers on specific campaigns and projects, and collaborate with the Great Lakes Regional Director on any recruitment and development of organizers on the Great Lakes team.
