    Description

    Greenwich United Way is seeking a motivated and organized part-time Program Coordinator to lead and support the Greenwich Junior United Way (GJrUW) program. This initiative engages middle and high school students in community service, leadership development, and philanthropy. The Program Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for students, schools, parents, and community partners to ensure successful program planning and execution.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Coordinate all GJrUW activities, including student meetings, service projects, fundraising events, and leadership development workshops.
      • Recruit, train, and support student participants in collaboration with schools and community partners.
      • Serve as liaison between GJrUW members, Greenwich United Way staff, schools, and nonprofit partners.
      • Develop and maintain program schedules, communications, and promotional materials.
      • Track and report on student participation, service hours, and program outcomes.
      • Provide mentorship and guidance to youth leaders to build leadership, teamwork, and civic engagement skills.
      • Support Greenwich United Way staff with program evaluation and future planning.

    Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, youth development, nonprofit management, or related field.
      • Experience working with middle school and high school students preferred.
      • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
      • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
      • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support youth events.

    Compensation

    This is a part-time position averaging 10 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
