    Conoce tus Opciones Escolares Coordinator

    The Conoce tus Opciones Escolares Coordinator at the National School Choice Awareness Foundation (NSCAF) is responsible for the creation and maintenance of informational resources provided by Conoce tus Opciones Escolares (CTOE) while also leading the Spanish-language support provided to parents through direct inquiries to our Foundation. The CTOE Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Navigation Programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Research, develop, write, and edit new guides, explainers, tools, and other information designed for parents to explore school options as part of the CTOE program.
    • Maintain existing guides, explainers, tools, and other information for parents to preserve accuracy and effectiveness.
    • Manage CTOE website (Wordpress), handling post and page setup and editing, SEO plugin needs, and working closely with the director of web properties on technical improvements and projects.
    • Communicate directly with parents who have questions about navigating school choice in Spanish, monitoring all incoming communications and responding directly or referring appropriately as needed.
    • Update reference library of responses for common navigation questions.
    • Identify partnerships with other nonprofits and other entities that can share school choice information with their constituencies.
    • Maintain and improve databases of schools across the country, in collaboration with the manager of Navigate School Choice.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications & Skills:

    • Complete professional fluency in written Spanish.
    • 1 year of relevant experience in K–12 education, school choice policy, education policy research, or education program leadership.
    • Passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate parent support through the process of choosing a school.
    • Basic understanding, or willingness to quickly understand, K–12 education policy and trends, including school choice laws, education reform efforts, and public and private school landscape dynamics.
    • Ability to organize and maintain a large volume of written content, implementing a system to index information to quickly audit and update data.
    • High degree of professionalism, superb responsiveness, and excellent writing skills in all forms of communication.
    • Curiosity about emerging trends in parent interests and the ability to research and develop resources that respond to changing trends.
    • Familiarity with website maintenance and management, including experience with WordPress or a similar CMS.
    • Strong dataset management skills, including the ability to efficiently improve and augment large files using Excel formulas and other best practices.
