About The Bridge Project: The Bridge Project started as the first direct cash program for mothers in New York City, and now operates in 8 states and cities, making it one of the nation’s largest initiatives providing consistent, unconditional monthly income to expectant and new mothers. Our mission is to improve maternal and infant health outcomes, reduce poverty, and give every baby the strongest start in life. We partner with researchers, community organizations, and donors to ensure that cash assistance is both transformative for families and a powerful driver of systemic change.
