    Anthos|Home is an innovative nonprofit transforming the way New Yorkers with housing subsidies locate and secure stable housing. Modeled after Brilliant Corners in California, we streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in process while addressing gaps in the NYC voucher system. Our mission is to be a game-changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness.

    The Role

    The Tenant Coordination Specialist plays a key role in supporting households through the housing process, from voucher acquisition to lease up. Reporting to the Tenant Coordination Supervisor, the Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for tenants, working closely with government agencies, nonprofits, brokers and landlords, and the internal team and will be required to develop an expertise in NYC housing subsidies and processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist tenants and property providers with navigating the housing process, including vouchers, payments, and other housing needs.
    • Consistently communicate with the TC team and supervisor regarding viewing logistics, outcomes, challenges and more.
    • Serve as a liaison between tenants and property owners.
    • Collaborate with the Housing Acquisitions and Operations teams to support housing placements.
    • Coordinate unit viewings, participant applications, and lease paperwork
    • Facilitate communication between tenants and property providers to ensure smooth apartment application process and lease-up.
    • Respond to housing and tenant emergencies, both during and after regular business hours.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or at least 2 years of experience in housing or human services.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with diverse communities.
    • Excellent and timely communication skills and ability to relay information and complete tasks in real time
    • Familiarity with NYC’s housing market and voucher systems.
    • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills.
    • Willingness to travel frequently within the community, with reasonable accommodation if necessary.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Competitive starting salary: $65,000 - $70,000
    • Hybrid work environment (2-5 days in office/field per week)
    • An alternate schedule, including the possibility of a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, with the ability to work after 5 PM if necessary.
