    American Financial Solutions (AFS) is a national nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals and families navigate life’s financial challenges with dignity and confidence. Through one-on-one financial counseling, housing support, and financial education, we empower people to take control of their financial futures.

    We are seeking a dynamic and mission-aligned Business Development Manager to grow organizational partnerships and expand access to our services nationwide. This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with community organizations, public agencies, employers, businesses, and employee assistance programs (EAPs) that align with AFS’s mission.

    The Business Development Manager will work closely with the President and Director of Strategic Initiatives to coordinate outreach efforts, pursue aligned funding opportunities, and help ensure the long-term sustainability of AFS’s programs.     What You’ll Do:

    Business Development & Partnerships (Primary Focus)

      • Identify, engage, and grow partnerships with organizations aligned with AFS’s mission — including community groups, employers, public agencies, and EAPs.
      • Promote AFS’s financial counseling and education services to expand reach and increase referrals.
      • Represent AFS at conferences, coalitions, and events to raise visibility and build collaborations.
      • Work closely with leadership to align outreach with strategic goals and identify new sectors for growth.

    Communications & Promotion

      • Develop outreach materials and tailored presentations that highlight the impact of AFS’s services.
      • Craft messaging that communicates our mission, values, and value to prospective partners and funders.

    Grants & Opportunity Development

      • Support the development of proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports connected to partnership and funding opportunities.
      • Assist in identifying and tracking aligned funding sources in collaboration with the leadership and program teams.
