    What You’ll Do:

    The Senior Manager Digital Marketing will join the Roosevelt Institute’s digital team to define and execute our digital marketing strategy. The Senior Manager Digital Marketing will support the execution of Roosevelt’s digital strategy primarily through the management of our website, email marketing, and social media. The ideal candidate is someone who has a deep understanding of an integrated marketing approach and is good at building relationships. It is a collaborative, hands-on role that requires strong communication, strategic marketing intuition, and a solutions-first mindset.

    This is a non-management, unionized role.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    Duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Lead and coordinate the dissemination of product and content for all web products—publications, blogs, emails, newsletters, new pages, etc.
    • Collaborate with the digital team and internal and external stakeholders to project manage and provide support for publications, digital projects, events, and initiatives. This includes website, social content, and associated outreach materials, including email marketing campaigns and sends.
    • Manage and support audience segmentation, targeting, and list hygiene to ensure campaigns reach intended audiences with tailored strategies that maximize engagement.
    • Develop testing strategies and identify and collect metrics. Use analysis of collected metrics and knowledge of digital best practices to offer support and actionable insights for optimizing website and email content development practices, marketing and disseminating content, improving audience engagement for all programs and digital tactics, and delivering tailored analytics to internal stakeholders.
    • Establish standards for our website, email, and other digital processes, and establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support the digital-first culture.
    • Research and stay current with new website, social media, and email trends and best practices, and support organizational/departmental training as necessary.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders to coordinate, draft, and execute content for relevant Roosevelt Institute social channels, following Roosevelt brand standards.
    • Support the growth of the Roosevelt Institute’s online presence and engagement on all platforms (web, social—paid and organic—and email) through ideating and executing dissemination strategies that grow our reach with our identified audiences, including editing social content and basic video cutting and editing.
    • Stay abreast of progressive policy and economic issues, with an eye to how Roosevelt can use digital trends and best practices to elevate its expertise.
    • Oversee all website and email content and functionality. Liaise with the website maintenance firm, Google Grant firm, and other technical or external support teams for support tasks, troubleshooting, investigating bugs, improvements, and other job-related tasks as needed.
    • Help manage and maintain the integrated communications calendar and provide backup and support for other digital functions as needed.

    What You’ll Have

    Required:

    • Experience with website content management systems like WordPress, email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and customer relationship management tools like Salesforce.
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with website analytics and setting up website optimization tools (i.e., Google Analytics, SEO, Google Search Console, Google Adwords) and email analytics collection, assessment, and strategic reporting.
    • Experience with social analytics and publishing tools like Sprout Social, Postpone, Buffer, etc.
    • Proficiency in website and digital marketing fundamentals and best practices, i.e., audience targeting, list segmentation and hygiene, optimizing web pages, and performance measurement.
    • A versatile understanding of website content development and management, email best practices, and website and email analytics tools.
    • A self-starter approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams, functions, and departments, driving alignment and managing deadlines.
    • Strong copywriting skills and experience creating email, social media, and website content.
    • Strong eye for visual content and stewardship of brand and brand guidelines.
    • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience (e.g., as a digital content, email marketing, or digital marketing manager).
    • Experience in nonprofits, grassroots organizing, or advocacy.
    • Familiarity with web design, web design tools, video support tools, and software like Canva, Camtasia, and iMovie.

    Salary: The salary range for this position is $92,032–$103,865, plus benefits.
