    Job purpose

    Alliance for Justice and AFJ Action (AFJ) are seeking an exceptional, mission-driven individual to serve as Senior Manager, Executive Operations based in Washington, DC. The Senior Manager,Executive Operations, strivesto maximize the President and Executive OfficeTeam’s effectiveness, impact and results. This includes overseeing office operations, maintaining the President and executive team schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, coordinating IT and office supply needs, and other duties as assigned. The Senior Manager, Executive Operations will be an essential part of a high-performing Executive Office team that is leading the fight to champion, defend, and enhance constitutional democracy in America.

    This is a hybridposition with the need for occasional in person work at our Washington, DC office location.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    The Senior Manager, Executive Operations is a dynamic and multifaceted role that involves extensive collaboration with the President, Chief of Staff, executive leadership, Alliance for Justice and Alliance for Justice Action Campaign boards and variousdepartments across AFJ.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Calendar and Travel Management Support: Manage the President and Vice Presidents’ calendars and travel arrangements; Ensure the smooth coordination of their day-to-day schedules and travel logistics; Advise on logistics; Contribute to creating a stress-free and seamless experience for the executiveleadership through continuous support and effective communication.
    • Executive Communication: Respond to routine inquiries as delegated by the President; coordinate executive-level correspondence, briefings, and talking points in coordination with vice presidents so that Presidentis fully prepared;Facilitate clear and effective communication on behalf of the President.
    • Operational Excellence: Demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence by efficiently managing the President's time during travel, preparing for events and meetings, and handling post-trip correspondence. Maintain an organized system of tracking,monitoring, and prioritizing tasks and projects. Provide workflow management support, coordinate key logistics for departmental meetings, convenings, and other priorities. Execute special projectswith diligence and attention to detail.
    • Strategic Engagement Support: Act as a strategic partner to the Executive Team, providing support with regular visitswith high-profile donors,key partners, media events, AFJ-sponsored trips, and high-profile meetings, ensuring executives are prepared, on time, and positioned to achieve the goals for each engagement.
    • Executive Support for Board Engagement: Prepare materials for board meetings; Serve as liaison to boards on behalf of executive leadership; Coordinate board meetings and other events and take minutes as required.

    Qualifications

    • At least 7 years’experience in publicservice, non-profit administration, communications/PR, leadership support, philanthropy/development, executive administration, event planning, or logistics.
    • Highly organized. Demonstrated ability to manage complexschedules, coordinate meetings, and streamline daily operations with precision.
    • Demonstrated experience providing executive supportand are adeptat managing multiple competing priorities, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines.
    • Excellent judgementand ability to maintain strictconfidentiality. Ability to build and maintain a strong rapport with the President and other Executive Team members - confidentiality, discretion, and personal judgment are foundational to this position and must always be exercised.
    • Excellent verbaland interpersonal skills.Accountable, great execution ability with a positive attitude.
    • Should be a naturalproblem-solver with the ability to evaluate, createand implement solutions to challenges on the fly.
    • The candidateshould also be able to prioritize competing demands and be able to handle interacting, both internally and externally, with a wide variety of people and personalities.
    • Strong knowledge of frequently used computer software and programs, including calendaring and meeting tools such as Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and Microsoft Teams. Familiarity with EveryAction and Clickup are a plus.
    • Tech savvyand strong understanding of the socialmedia landscape.
    • Team player.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The salary range for this positionis $92,500-$102,556.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer and communicate with others while doing so. On occasions, travel by trainand airplane.     Work Environment

    This is a full-time position that is eligible for a hybridwork schedule (combination of in-person and remote work). General office working conditions, the noise level in the office is usually quiet. Some occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

    This position is hybrid, based in the Washington, DC area.

    Direct Reports

    This positionhas no direct supervisory responsibilities but will assistin the management of interns.
