    Description

    Responsible for managing financial records, reconciliations and handling day-to-day accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency (3/4 time). Handling administrative responsibilities working with Chief Operating Officer (1/4 time).

    Qualifications:

    5 Years of experience in bookkeeping services

    Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and TEXT functions

    Financial experience in a non-profit organization is a plus

    Hands on experience with MIP software a plus

    AS/AA in accounting is a plus

    Competencies:

    Proven experience in a similar role

    Solid knowledge of account classifications, account coding, reconciliations and account analysis

    In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping principles and best practices

    Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software

    Detail-oriented and high level of accuracy

    Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

    Strong organizational skills

    Responsibilities:

    Responsible for data entry into the accounting software

    Responsible for Accounts Payable processing, including voucher entry, check printing & mailing

    Responsible for vendor files and 1099 filing

    Responsible for Accounts Receivable processing and invoicing

    Responsible for the monthly AMEX process

    Responsible for scanning supporting documentation, such as invoices and receipts, to Hubdoc and SharePoint

    Responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations

    Responsible for preparing selected monthly account analysis

    Responsible for the preparation of Mission Support Batches, coding and schedules

    Responsible for the mission support remittance process and tracking of congregational commitment forms including data entry into Salesforce and MIP

    Responsible for the preparation of bank deposits

    Responsible for the preparation of acknowledgement letters for donations as they are received. [including individual gifts, designated gifts, other designated funds and endowments

    Responsible for filing all finance related documents

    Assist with the annual audit

    Administrative support to Chief Operating Officer

    All tasks assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

    To be reviewed after 6 months for adjustments and updates, as needed.
