    Description

    Position summary

    The Senior Clinician delivers advanced clinical services and provides day-to-day clinical leadership that ensures high-quality, trauma-informed care across the Therapeutic Supervised Visitation and Trauma Recovery programs. This role maintains a focused caseload, offers clinical peer supervision/consultation to staff and serves as Internship Coordinator and Practicum Instructor for MSW interns, advances clinical protocols, and partners with program leadership to align coverage, compliance, and outcomes.

    Key responsibilities

    • Deliver individual/family therapy and therapeutic supervised visitation; complete intakes, assessments, treatment/visit plans, documentation, and discharge summaries.
    • Utilize evidence-based approaches (TF-CBT, CBT, DBT skills, MI, psychoeducation, parent coaching).
    • Prepare clinical summaries, affidavits, and provide testimony for Family Court.
    • Engage caregivers, kin, and collaterals to support safety, permanency, and well-being goals.
    • Provide clinical supervision, case consultation, and mentorship to clinicians and MSW interns; co-sign documentation as needed.
    • Lead case conferences and model trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice.
    • Manage social work internship program, clinical schedules, caseloads, referrals, and coverage planning to ensure continuity of care.
    • Serve as Lead Clinician for two evenings and one weekend (Saturday) day.
    • Update and implement clinical protocols, forms, and checklists; contribute to audits and chart reviews.
    • Collaborate with evaluation/data staff to translate findings into practice improvements.

    Qualifications

      • Required: LCSW (or LMSW with supervision toward LCSW and strong relevant experience); 5+ years post-MSW clinical experience with children/families; experience in court-involved and/or child welfare settings.
      • Preferred: SIFI; prior supervision of staff or interns; expertise in TF-CBT/child-parent work/parent coaching; comfort with court testimony. Strong documentation skills, clinical judgment, crisis/risk assessment, and collaboration with multi-system partners.
