    Description

    Position Description: Part Time Office Assistant

    Reports to: Operations & HR Manager

    Hours: Non-Exempt, Average 15 hours per week (on-site) T, W, Th (afternoon - early evening)

    SUMMARY:

    The Office Assistant will provide front-desk coverage and administrative support for staff, members, and events. This role is an excellent opportunity for a law student or an individual with an interest in the legal field to gain exposure to the profession, our programming, and to develop relevant skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Welcome members and guests, providing assistance as needed.
    • Answer and direct incoming phone calls; respond to general inquiries.
    • Provide administrative support to staff as assigned.
    • Manage the receiving and set-up of catering for meetings and events.
    • Support event logistics, including room set-up, furniture arrangement, food stations, coordination with caterers, audiovisual setup, and post-event breakdown to ensure spaces are restored to member-ready condition.
    • Assist with mail processing (incoming and outgoing), scanning, printing, and mailing projects.
    • Provide support for in-house printing and copy projects.
    • Maintain the organization and appearance of conference rooms and shared spaces.
    • Oversee light maintenance tasks.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE :

    Experience: Experience in a professional setting preferred.

    Degree: High school diploma required.

    Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Salesforce a plus.

    Communication: Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.

    General: Must be 21 years or older (occasionally required to set up alcoholic beverages at events).

    Ability to perform light physical tasks, lifting up to 25 pounds to support set-up needs for events.

    Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
