    The LightEn Center of Consciousness & Action (LCCA) is a new retreat center in the Blue Ridge mountains in Marshall, North Carolina, set to open in Fall 2025. LCCA will serve as a soul-focused sanctuary and learning center for individual and collective growth, exploration and transformation, focused on catalyzing the evolution of consciousness needed to solve humanity’s greatest challenges. The Center will host current and emerging leaders to cultivate and deepen the inner work needed to be more effective change agents in the world. LCCA is the home of LightEn US, which is part of the overall LightEn network.

The Executive Assistant role offers an exceptional opportunity for a diligent and mindful professional to join LCCA in its start-up phase.

    LCCA is located in Marshall, NC, approximately 30-minutes north of Asheville. Within the 489-acre property, the center is comprised of approximately 125 structures (existing + planned) spanning 100 acres. The center features 76 guest cabins, two teaching spaces, an 8500+ sq ft spa, fitness center, auditorium, event space, dining hall, horticultural complex including a greenhouse & 2 acre garden, and over 7.5 miles of hiking trails. Future phases of the project include an additional 30 guest cabins, a third teaching space, and team member accommodations; including a housing complex, cafeteria, and wellness center for staff use.

    Currently, there are about 20 LCCA team members, and we are forecasted to grow to over 50 team members by late-2025. The Executive Assistant reports to the Executive Director and will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and work with colleagues across all aspects of the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a keen mind for administrative logistics and a relational and collaborative approach. In addition to the core competencies outlined below, the right candidate will have resonance with LightEn’s vision, be flexible, have a desire to learn, maintain a willingness to contribute when needed, and an ability to lead from a place of inclusiveness, kindness and service.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Executive Assistant is essential to ensuring that the Executive Director’s time is used effectively and efficiently. They will help steward effective communications, timely decision-making, and operational excellence within the executive office. The Executive Assistant will support the Executive Director with managing her calendar, daily logistics, tracking priorities, document management, travel planning, and communications.

    All team members are expected to model LightEn’s approach and values of reflection, collaboration, and soul-infused action and are encouraged and supported to do so throughout their own practices.

    Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Manage the Executive Director’s calendar whilst demonstrating exceptional judgment and flexibility to accommodate emergent priorities and issues;
    • Manage travel arrangements of the Executive Director, both domestic and international, and all associated itineraries, agendas and briefings;
    • Be a super-user on Salesforce, ensuring data is input on a timely basis, and pulling reports and data regularly;
    • Draft, edit, and respond to correspondence on the Executive Director’s behalf;
    • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, inclusive of agenda management;
    • Prioritize, investigate, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Executive Director; recommend appropriate course of action;
    • Prepare invoices and expense reports for approval and payment and support the budget tracking;
    • Ensure seamless communication and coordination between Executive Office and Guest Relations as part of planning for on-site visitors;
    • Support with coordination of LightEn-hosted events, as needed;
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding discussions, records, files, documents, and information as they relate to all business and personal activities;
    • Manage special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Executive Assistant to a senior executive in a complex and fast-paced organizational environment;
    • Extensive experience managing a busy calendar and ensuring the senior executive is prepared for all meetings;
    • Ability to travel (if remote) and be on site approximately 25% of the time;
    • Occasionally support the Senior Leadership Team with administrative projects, when needed;
    • Ability to research and book travel arrangements and develop detailed itineraries that are easy to read;
    • Experience and skill in drafting and proofing professional documents and communications in different media, voices and registers;
    • Background in client or customer service and satisfaction, such as in hospitality, health care, non-profit, or other high-touch and high-trust contexts for engaging and serving others, a plus;
    • Highly confidential and able to hold sensitive information in a thoughtful manner;
    • Exquisite attunement and attention to detail in all aspects of planning and logistics;
    • Experience and an appetite for working in a start-up or rapid-growth organization;
    • Ability to work autonomously and be a strategic partner to colleagues;
    • Strong technical proficiency in all Microsoft applications; experience with Salesforce or other CRM software also a plus;
