    Description

    The Program Design + Implementation Specialist works in the national office as part of the team responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of the national Posse Program. The position reports to the Vice President of Training, Learning + Curriculum and works closely with a team of fellow Program Design + Implementation Specialists to review, update, and implement interactive experiential curriculum for Posse Scholars. They also provide continuous support for Posse’s program staff by organizing and facilitating national staff training as well as by visiting Posse’s local offices frequently to conduct on-site staff observation and training.

    Ideal candidates for this position are experienced and dynamic facilitators who can master material quickly, have experience writing and editing program workshops, and are interested in working on issues involving higher education, diversity, equity, and inclusion. They are also able to lead the management and implementation of various simultaneous projects from inception to delivery. Candidates must be experienced in staff coaching and development and be comfortable providing detailed feedback to staff.

    Preference will be given to candidates based in the New York City Metro Area (including New Jersey and Connecticut). This role is available as a remote position for exceptionally qualified candidates in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Texas and the Washington D.C. Metro Area (including Maryland and Virginia).

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and facilitate local and national staff trainings
    • Assist in the coordination and delivery of initial program training for all new employees
    • Give feedback and coach Posse staff members on program implementation
    • Travel to Posse local sites and college partners to deliver programming and on-site training
    • Assist with the replication of the Posse program in expansion cities
    • Write and revise program manuals
    • Help design and facilitate retreats for Posse partner colleges and universities
    • Implement training for university partner faculty and staff
    • Support the development of a positive and collaborative culture at Posse
    • Other related duties as assigned

    Qualities/Qualifications

    • Experience facilitating small and large groups of students and staff
    • Experience facilitating in a virtual space is a plus
    • Experience designing workshops for small and/or large groups a plus
    • Excellent writer and public speaker
    • Experience coaching individuals and/or teams to effectively deliver a program model
    • Experience delivering detailed feedback to staff
    • Experience working with high school and/or college-age students
    • Strong project management skills, including delegation and implementation
    • Can work well independently and in teams
    • Strong time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
    • Must meet challenges with positivity and creativity
    • Demonstrated belief in Posse’s mission and values
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Graduate degree a plus
