    Description

    As the Marketing Assistant at our company, you will:

    • Assist the communications director in the planning and creation of marketing content, such as social media posts, marketing materials, and emails/newsletters
    • Create flyers, signage and graphics for events, programs, and educational classes
    • Manage the online Board Store by entering board store items, descriptions, and images. Track inventory and place orders.
    • Assist in updating the website content to ensure accuracy and alignment with company brand guidelines.
    • Engage with affiliate members and partners about the logos provided and verify that the information provided is accurate.
    • Keep informed of technological developments in the fields of marketing and communications
    • Assist in the creation of videos and other multimedia assets, such as photography and b-roll, taken at events and classes.
    • Maintain and organize the association's files and digital assets
    • Support events team with set up, registration, breakdown of events

    Job Requirements:

    1-3 years of marketing and/or communications experience

    Excellent organizational and time management skills – able to take initiative and work autonomously

    Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

    Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills

    Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and video production

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and constant contact

    Familiarity with WordPress, Constant Contact and understanding of analytics

    Experience with common social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and scheduling tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite

    Familiarity with content calendar planning tools

    Understanding of brand strategy and tone across multiple communication channels

    Team player with strong interpersonal skills

    Additional qualifications not required, but would be a bonus:

    Prior experience with a membership association

    Familiar with AP Style

    Marketing Assistant Work Environment

    • High level of social interaction with members and colleagues
    • Communication using phone, email, and conference and video calling
    • Indoor work environment, sharing office space with colleagues
    • Meet strict deadlines
    • Repetitive tasks
    • Occasional travel to meet with members
